Nestled among panoramic mountain scenery and lapped by the waters of the mighty St Lawrence River, the charm of Baie St Paul centres around art, culture and heritage.
Talented artisans display their talents both indoors and out and share their know-how from generation to generation. A stroll along Rue Saint Jean Baptiste will have you stopping frequently to visit the small art galleries along the route and to admire the French-inspired old buildings in the town. Traditional Québec cuisine is on offer in the many small restaurants dotted around the town, with many providing the opportunity for outdoor dining.
While Baie Saint Paul may be small in population, it's big on hospitality and should be included on your RV vacation itinerary. It's a convenient stopping place when driving from Quebec City to Tadoussac and, if you decide to stay longer, you'll find campgrounds conveniently located along the Route du Fleuve.
Baie St Paul is the birthplace of Cirque du Soleil. Here, back in the 1980s, founders Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix enchanted street audiences with their unique blend of music, dancing, juggling, stilt-walking and outrageous costumes. Shortly after, Cirque du Soleil was born.
