Growing quickly in popularity, this small ‘town’ in northern British Columbia is a hidden gem on Vancouver Island’s eastern coastline.   Telegraph Cove is a refreshing step back into the realms of yesteryear and bound to be a highlight of your vacation.

Boasting a year-round population of fewer than 100 people, Telegraph Cove's growth as an eco-tourism destination makes it an ideal place for whale watching, ocean fishing, boating, kayaking, grizzly bear and wildlife viewing.

Telegraph Cove started its life as a lumber mill and salmon saltery which was later abandoned, leaving its original buildings in ruin. The original houses and buildings were eventually restored, the town becoming a resort to take advantage of the recreational ocean fishing on its doorstep. There's a campground very handy to the town where you can park your RV and from there everything is within walking distance.

Wander along the 800 foot long boardwalk and admire the quaintness of this rebuilt town – it’s a refreshing step back into the realms of yesteryear and bound to be a highlight of your vacation.
