You will receive the vehicle with at least ¼ tank of fuel. You must return it with the fuel at the same level as pick up or you will be charged a fuel fee. Please note that the fuel level is calculated using the gauge and not by the estimated km to E shown above the gauge, as the km to E does not always correctly show the fuel level. .Please see our pricing sheet for current charges for the fuel fee. Propane tanks may be returned empty.  We do not offer a refund if the vehicle is returned with more fuel than at pickup.  The Vehicle Specification page on our website provides you with the fuel tank capacity for each of our vehicle types. You are welcome to use this as a rough guide in calculating the number of litres required to return the vehicle at the same fuel level as pick up.

We make every effort to ensure our Guests receive the vehicle type they book.  However, if, for any reason beyond the company's control, the reserved vehicle is not available, CanaDream reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent value or offer a higher rated vehicle at no additional cost. Should a lower rated vehicle be substituted, the company's only responsibility is to refund the difference between the two vehicles. Although this is infrequent, accidents or mechanical repairs may force substitutions
The popularity of our relocation specials mean it would be very difficult for us to maintain an up to date relocation waiting list. Our rental vehicle relocation page is updated daily, so the best way to track available relocation specials is by bookmarking this page and visiting it on a regular basis.

Our largest RVs are designed to accommodate up to 6 people. This is determined not by the number of sleeping places in the RV, but by the number of seatbelts. Under Canadian law, every person seated in the vehicle must be wearing a seat belt. The maximum number of seat belts in any of our vehicles is six.
While WiFi is not automatically available in our RVs, we do offer a product for an additional charge which is a Wi-Fi hotspot allowing easy connections to access the internet for texts, emails, social media and web browsing.   More information about the Solis WiFi Hotspot can be found here.  Read our blog with other suggestions to get WiFi in an RV and stay connected on your RV vacation in Canada.

Bike racks can be fitted on the tow hitch of our SVC, MHB, MHA and MHX RVs. Unfortunately, due to the rear access doors (emergency exits) on our TCA and DVC units, they cannot be fitted to these vehicles. Guests renting a DVC or TCA would need to carefully carry their bikes inside the vehicle and we would recommend putting the bike into a bike sock to protect the bike and the RV.

We are happy to enable Guests to travel with their bikes and have Swagman bike racks for rent from all of our corporate locations.  These bike racks are suitable for up to four bikes with a maximum carrying capacity of 140lbs.  More information about our bike racks is available here.   Up to date pricing for this product can be found on our Pricing page.

We do not provide transfers to or from the airport or airport hotels at any of our locations.  Taxi fare information is available on our Locations pages.
We do not rent bikes but are happy to refer you to mountain bike rental stores in Vancouver and Calgary only.  This option is not available for one-way rentals.

Please call our Reservations Department at 1-800-347-7126 e-mail canadreamclub@canadream.com to make changes to your CanaDream Club Reservation or for any questions you may have.

Guests are required at pick up to read and sign our "Before you drop off your RV" document. This document is available in English, French, German, and Dutch.
If there is any discrepancy between the wording on the English document and that on the French, German, or Dutch versions, the wording on the English version will apply.

If you  have not purchased one of our optional "We are happy to" packages at pick up and choose not to clean your RV prior to drop off, cleaning charges will apply.

See our current pricing sheet for more details.

Select your pickup and dropoff locations and dates in the booking box on the left, click on "Rent an RV" and away you go! CanaDream's real-time availability and pricing will let you see the price of your RV vacation immediately.  We are happy to honour the price you receive on your quote for up to five days from the date of the quote. After five days, the quote will expire and a new quote will be required.

A booking is only confirmed when we receive a $ 500.00 deposit. If the booking date falls 30 days prior to the pick up day, then we will require full payment at the time of booking. Please contact our reservations department between 08:00 and 17:00 MST at 1-800-347-7126 (toll free within North America), or 403-259-5447 if calling from Calgary, Alberta.   You may also contact us by email at booking@canadream.com.

Our RV fridges are designed to operate using the coach battery or propane supply of the RV. Most of our fleet will offer a 12-V fridge that operates off the coach battery system when traveling. 12-V fridges continue to run off the coach battery when connected to a campsite electricity hookup. It is important to provide a regular charge to the coach batteries, at least every 2-3 days (depending on power usage), to prevent functionality disruption of appliances in the RV.

A small portion of our fleet will offer Two-way fridges. Two-way fridges generally run on propane when the RV is not plugged into shore power and automatically switch to run on electricity if an external power source is detected.

Please check the How to Guide and the Guest Guide for the model of RV you receive to confirm the required settings for the refrigerator. The type of fridge in an RV cannot be guaranteed and will be based on fleet availability for the date of pick-up.
Having completed Online Check-in prior to arrival at our station, RV Pick up takes approximately 15-20 minutes. With all Guest information, important documentation signed, demo videos watched, security deposit paid and any extras purchased at Online Check-in, the time for pick up is greatly reduced and the Guest simply completes their self-guided RV tour and damage inspection prior to setting off. CanaDream is happy to offer a one-to-one Personal Demonstration (for a fee of $50) which takes up to 30-45 minutes. You can pre-book this service at the time of booking or during Online Check-in.

Our Crew are happy to answer any questions Guests may have prior to setting off on their road trip.
As long as the vehicle is returned in a clean, undamaged condition with all equipment and any kitchen/linen kits returned (and holding tanks emptied), the drop-off takes approximately ½ hour.  If you have a flight booking soon after drop-off, you should drop off your RV with plenty of time to get to your next destination.
CanaDream offers a certain number of days at the heavily discounted relocation rate. The number of days and kilometres are determined by the route you are travelling. Subject to availability, you may be able to hire the vehicle for additional days at our regular rate. Extra kilometres driven are charged at our current per kilometre rate on vehicle return. For full details, see our Terms and Conditions and Pricing sections.
This depends on the vehicle type. Canadian transport regulations state that each person travelling must be wearing a seatbelt. The number of people able to travel in each motorhome is dependent upon the number of seatbelts provided. The following table shows the maximum number of seatbelts we can guarantee in each of our vehicles.
MHA   6
MHB   6
SVC   4
DVC   4
TCA   5
We recommend that our Guests use the planning tools on our website to calculate the approximate number of kilometres they will require for their vacation.  As we do not provide Guests with refunds for unused kilometres, we suggest that Guests do not pre-purchase more kilometres than they calculate they will need.

We strongly recommend that Guests plan to stay in campgrounds during their RV vacations, particularly if they are unfamiliar with the area.   This adds a layer of safety to their travels and provides them with access to campground facilities and hookups.  If Guests choose not to stay in campgrounds or are unable to secure a booking, there are other options.   Refer to our blog, Camping for Free in Canada, to learn about camping on Crown Land and other places.

If anyone is injured in the accident, please call 911 to obtain immediate assistance.

We require you to record all details of the accident or incident, however minor, including as many photos as possible of all noticeable damage to all involved vehicles and any fixed objects or property, using either the paper forms in the blue wallet in your RV or by reporting to us online.  You are also required to notify us of the accident within 24 hours by phone, email or online. If you fail to notify us of damage to our vehicle and/or damage to another vehicle, you will be liable for the full cost of the damage. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

Some of our relocations are advertised as Saver only.  When you book the relocation the booking will show as Saver 2 or Saver 4.  While we will make every effort to assign you a vehicle within your chosen Saver category, we cannot guarantee that the vehicle you receive at pick up will fall within your chosen category.  We guarantee that the vehicle you receive will have enough sleeping spaces for the number of people travelling.
We guarantee that all our units will be "ready to go" when you receive them. They will be thoroughly cleaned, with fully charged batteries, full tanks of propane, and empty holding tanks. If you have chosen to include our kitchen and linen kit options, we will ensure that they are complete and that they have been placed in your vehicle.
We are happy to provide kitchen and/or linen kits for a small additional fee.  See our current pricing sheet for more details. One kitchen kit is required per RV and one linen kit is required for each person travelling.  Guests can choose to bring their own linen items if they wish.  See what is included in our kitchen and linen kits.
These relocation specials are subject to the same terms and conditions as our regular rentals.  Insurance is included in the rental cost.  An insurance deposit of $1,750 is required on a major credit card at pick-up and will be processed.  This deposit will be refunded at drop-off provided that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was received and not involved in any accident claims.
Yes. The fall months can be some of the best times to travel in Canada.  There are fewer people on the roads and campgrounds are usually not as full.  Colours start to turn from late September and provide some spectacular scenery along your travel route.   Fall also brings cooler nights, great for sitting around the campfire. While fall is a great time to travel, there are a few things Guests should be aware of when travelling at this time.  Please read  our leaflet "Information for Guests travelling in the Fall".   This information is available in English, French, German and Dutch.
Changes to an existing booking may incur a charge.  If you wish to change an existing booking, please see our Booking Amendment policy.
While we are happy for our Guests to book for any number of nights, we have a minimum rental charge based on 5 nights year-round.  The cost will vary and is dependent on rates applicable at time of booking.
One driver is included in the rental cost. There is an additional driver charge  per night for the entire rental period per additional driver. There is no coverage should an unauthorized driver be involved in an accident.
Driving in Canada may differ from driving in your own country.  Our North American Safe Driving video is available to familiarize you with driving and road rules applicable in North America.  This video is available in English, French and German.  View our Safe Driving video.
Smoking of any kind is not permitted in our RVs. This includes vaping, cigarettes and recreational cannibis. If vape odour, cigarette or cannibis use is detected in the unit at drop-off, a defuming and sanitizing charge will be applied. See our pricing page for current charge.

Wild camping, boondocking and dispersed camping all refer to camping with no hookups or other facilities, usually in out-of-the-way places. Some Guests prefer not to stay in established campgrounds and look for other camping options when they take an RV vacation. This type of camping is possible in Canada.  Refer to our blog, Camping for Free in Canada, for more information.

Awnings that are factory-fitted to our RVs are disabled from use. Our decision to disable the awnings was not an easy one, rather the result of an extremely high incidence of awning damage caused by inattention of Guests and incorrect use. Awnings are an extremely expensive item to replace when damaged and it can take anywhere from six weeks to six months to receive replacement awnings or parts from the factory. Awnings are intended for shade from the sun, not as rain shelters. The weight of excessive water on the awnings, along with strong winds, both result in significant damage to awnings. Guests who experienced damage while the awning was in use often found they were unable to retract the awning to drive the unit, resulting in unnecessary delays to their vacations. As awning damage is not covered under CanaDream's insurance coverage, Guests are responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement. While Guests may initially say they are happy to accept that cost, they don't realize they may be faced with a damage bill for thousands of dollars.  We appreciate that our decision may cause some inconvenience for Guests however, in the interests of all parties, we have disabled the awnings from use.

Our fleet of vehicles is in top mechanical condition. In the unlikely event that a mechanical failure occurs, Guests are authorized to proceed with the necessary repairs up to $100.00. For expenses over $100.00, guests must telephone our on-road assistance team for authorization before proceeding with repairs. Replacement parts must be returned to the rental station for reimbursement. Guests assume full responsibility for damage to tires and undercarriage. Oil, tire pressure and coolant must be checked at each refueling. Costs for oil will be refunded upon presentation of receipts. The company's responsibility is limited to the refund of the daily gross rate, or portion thereof, if the breakdown repair is longer than 48 hours.
As numerous conditions affect gas mileage (wind, hills, speed, driving habits, etc.), fuel consumption will vary according to the conditions. As a rough "rule of thumb", you could budget about 25-30 litres/100 kilometres. This rough estimate is for budgeting purposes only. CanaDream offers no guarantee as to fuel consumption and will not offer any reimbursement to Guests where actual consumption is less than estimated on this website.
Please go to our Terms and Conditions page for full details. You will be required to sign this document when you pick up your vehicle. We recommend you take the time to read this prior to arrival so you are familiar with these terms.
Fuel is to be paid for by the person doing the relocation.  Occasionally we may include a small fuel allowance in a relocation and, if applicable, this will be shown under the included kilometres in the Relocation List.
A late drop-off fee will be charged for each hour the vehicle is not returned on or before the drop-off time stated in your rental agreement. Please see our pricing page for current charge per hour.
Sorry.  We are unable to offer you a refund if you decide to drop off your RV before the drop-off date shown in your rental agreement.
There is no 'one size fits all' answer to this question as it will depend on the time of year you are travelling and how much you use components in the RV that require propane.  Propane usage can increase significantly as temperatures drop.  In extremely cold winter temperatures, it's possible that you may need to refill your propane every other day but in summer, the tank will last significantly longer.  It is important that you monitor your propane usage daily, regardless of the time of year, and never let the level go below 1/4 tank.  Know in advance where you will be able to top up the propane tank along your route.
The credit card holder must be present when the RV is picked up so we can verify identity and confirm that the credit card belongs to that person.  The name on the booking must match the name on the credit card and the credit card must be presented at pick up.

If you are unfortunate to be involved in an accident involving the RV which prevents you from continuing your vacation, CanaDream will endeavour to provide you with a replacement RV  where available.   However, your insurance with CanaDream does not cover liability for loss of personal property, nor does it cover costs for accommodation, transportation, or replacement of the vehicle if the vehicle is stolen or should an incident occur that makes the rented vehicle inoperable. In these situations, and depending on availability, a new signed rental agreement must be in place before a replacement vehicle is provided and the Guest is responsible for all costs associated with this new agreement.   We strongly recommend that Guests have travel insurance to cover these costs.
